About us

Keeping students in school.

Esther Funds Foundation works to prevent college dropout among minority, first-generation and low-income students, especially in the South. It was founded in January 2024 by Shayna Vincent, who left college more than once before she finished. Through chapters on campuses, REACH, scholarships and emergency help, EFF helps students stay in school and finish.

The For Such a Time as This Scholarship Fund

After you vote, you can give directly to Esther Funds Foundation's For Such a Time as This Scholarship Fund, a restricted fund that goes only to student scholarships. Recipients are chosen by EFF's written criteria, never by donors or voters. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows, and every donor receives a badge, a letter and a certificate.

Votes and gifts are different

30% of every vote benefits Esther Funds Foundation and its work to prevent college dropout. Votes are purchases from Pretty Girls Who Serve; they are non-refundable and are not tax-deductible. A gift to the scholarship fund is separate, is made straight to Esther Funds Foundation, and is tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
