The Contestant Agreement

What every contestant signs.

  1. Free to enter. Entering is 100% free. I never pay to apply, compete or be crowned.
  2. Votes are not mine. Votes are purchases from Pretty Girls Who Serve, LLC, and 30% of every vote benefits Esther Funds Foundation and its work to prevent college dropout. The money from votes is never mine. I will never collect money for votes myself, by cash, Cash App, Zelle or any other way. Every vote goes through the official ballot on this website.
  3. Votes are final. Votes are non-refundable and are not tax-deductible. Only a separate gift made straight to Esther Funds Foundation is tax-deductible, and a gift does not count as a vote.
  4. Rounds and the crown. Votes carry over from round to round. To advance after Round 1 (November 1 to 3) I need at least 100 votes; after Round 2 (November 4 and 5), at least 400 in all; and to be eligible for the crown, at least 1,000 in all when voting closes on November 7 at 11:00 PM Eastern. The crown goes to the eligible contestant with the most votes. Reaching a minimum does not by itself win the crown.
  5. The rubric. I will be held to the contestant standards in the Official Rules: timeliness (I post each day's theme on its day and meet every deadline), communication (I answer Pretty Girls Who Serve within 24 hours and attend onboarding), professionalism and participation. The judged awards are scored on the published rubric.
  6. Fair play. No fake accounts, stolen or disputed cards, bots or chargebacks. Votes found to be fraudulent or charged back are removed from my total.
  7. Prizes. The prizes are exactly as published, and the scholarship, photoshoot stipend and brunch depend on the funds raised. Prize money is paid only to the winner, in her own legal name, after the coronation. Prizes can't be exchanged for cash or given to someone else, and I am responsible for any taxes on prize money.
  8. My PRETTY Service Project. My service project is real service I actually do, with proof photos. My community service letter is issued only after it is completed and verified.
  9. Keeping it quiet. I will not post about the pageant, or announce that I applied or was selected, until Pretty Girls Who Serve announces the contestants and campaign week opens on November 1.
  10. How I carry myself. I will represent Christ, Pretty Girls Who Serve and Esther Funds Foundation with grace, online and offline. No negative campaigning, no bullying or harassing another contestant, and nothing that misrepresents either organization.
  11. Photos and videos. Pretty Girls Who Serve and Esther Funds Foundation may share my name, ballot photo, videos and service photos to promote the pageant and its mission. Everyone in the photos and videos I share agreed to be shown, and no child's face is shown without a parent's permission.
  12. Removal. Pretty Girls Who Serve may remove a contestant who breaks this agreement, after telling her why and hearing her side. Votes already purchased are not refunded or moved to anyone else.
  13. Final decisions. The official vote count and the judged awards are decided by Pretty Girls Who Serve, and its decisions are final. Questions go in writing to pgws@estherfundsinc.org within 7 days. Dates and details may change, and I will be told by email.
